The Communion Bay Supper Club is an out-growth of our passion for dining as an epicenter of
community. We began pop up dinner parties in early 2023 under Chef Britt’s pop up, Eat Crow,
as a means to keep us afloat while we focused our energy on opening our first restaurant. We
threw dinner parties in private homes, firehouses, museums and club houses from Seattle, WA
to Long Beach Island, New Jersey and everywhere in between. We enlisted our friends and
family to assist with our dinners everywhere we could. Chef Britt’s dad sauteed scallops while
our friend’s kids helped wash dishes and fill water glasses. We were so inspired by the way our
dinner parties brought friends and loved ones together, and we were overjoyed as our guests
left with full bellies, full hearts, and a few more friends than they arrived with. Thus the
Communion Bay Supper Club was born.
Food helps us to slow down, to talk, to laugh, to connect with strangers and family alike. Food
can be both grounding and transportive, and a memorable dining experience can build
community in deep and lasting ways. Our goal is to set the table and provide a meal that
inspires our diners to revel with strangers that may become friends.
